Get That Good Volumetric Lighting
A fellow indie dev asked on Twitter how I got the volumetric lighting to look like this so I figured I might as well share this here as well!
The first image is the global sky and fog volume settings I'm using for the main scene, and the second is the density volume I used to make the fog thicker without messing with how far you can see. I know that sounds kind of weird. Next are the settings for the main directional light, then the settings for exposure and the ambient sky exposure. One big caveat I ran into was that you get some terrible noise in interiors if you don't control the fog depth extent, so I created a couple box volumes for inside the house and garage and it handled it quite nicely.
